Overview

Join a well-established food manufacturing site undergoing a significant period of change.

Part of a very successful multi-site food business, the Worcester site produces high risk products for the major retailers.

This is a newly created Technical Services Manager role following a site restructure, offering a genuine chance to reset standards and leave a lasting impact.

The Role

The successful Technical Services Manager will:

  • Take ownership of the site Technical Services function during a period of transition.
  • Lead and modernise the site QMS, bringing documentation and systems up to current standards.
  • Address legacy issues across BRC documentation and site compliance.
  • Act as a stabilising and driving force for Technical Services, setting clear standards and expectations.
  • Lead and develop a small Technical Services team, including Specification Technologists and a Quality Systems Coordinator.
  • Work closely with site leadership to support retailer relationships and future growth.

The Candidate

The successful Technical Services Manager will have:

  • Experience in a Technical or Quality leadership role within food manufacturing.
  • A strong grounding in BRC, QMS management and audit readiness.
  • The resilience and pragmatism to operate in a challenging, legacy environment.
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to lead from the front.
