As a key member of the site leadership team, the SHE Manager provides expert guidance and support on all Safety, Health and Environment matters across the site. The role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive SHE service, ensuring compliance with legislation, promoting best practice, and creating a safe, sustainable and compliant environment for employees, contractors and visitors. The SHE Manager works closely with internal stakeholders across all departments, as well as external customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities, auditors and community partners to drive continuous improvement in SHE performance.

The Successful Health, Safety and Environment Manager will:

  • Lead the implementation of Safety, Health and Environment policies, procedures and plans across the site.
  • Ensure SHE considerations are fully integrated into capital projects, including compliance with Best Available Techniques (BAT) and insurance requirements.
  • Develop SHE competence across the site through training, development programmes and active engagement.
  • Lead the investigation of SHE incidents and accidents and ensure all reportable SHE incidents are communicated to regulatory authorities in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Manage SHE budgets effectively, ensuring expenditure remains within agreed limits and any additional spending is appropriately justified.

The Successful Health, Safety and Environment Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety and/or Environmental Management role.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
  • IOSH Membership, Chartered Membership (CMIOSH), or working towards it.
  • Training qualification or experience delivering training programmes.
  • Minimum three years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
