As the new Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager, you will work closely with the Head of department and lead initiatives that drive continuous improvement across the site. You will be at the heart of the company’s HSE strategy.
The Role
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust HSE systems and policies.
- Deliver in-house training.
- Lead safety audits, near-miss reporting, and risk assessments.
- Drive site-wide improvements using insights from incidents and data.
- Support internal and external compliance including COSHH, 45001 & 14001.
- Liaise with key stakeholders including the HSE, Environment Agency, and Fire Service.
- Chair and co-chair internal HSE meetings and forums.
- Provide HSE input into site expansion, equipment layout, and project planning.
- Support occupational health and claims investigations.
The Candidate
- A NEBOSH certificate or diploma.
- Tech IOSH membership.
- HSE experience in food manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Fire safety experience and knowledge of COSHH, 45001, and 14001.
