Overview
We are working in partnership with a well-established UK food manufacturing business to recruit a Compliance Improvement Lead. This role has been created to strengthen site standards, embed best practice, and drive sustainable compliance improvements across food safety, quality, and regulatory frameworks. The business operates within a branded, high-expectation environment and is committed to moving beyond “audit-ready” toward a mature, proactive compliance culture. Responsibilities
- Reviewing, improving, and standardising food safety and compliance systems
- Driving corrective and preventative actions following audits, incidents, and trend analysis
- Supporting BRCGS and customer compliance through robust preparation and follow-up
- Working cross-functionally with Technical, Operations, Hygiene, and Engineering teams
- Identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Coaching and influencing teams to embed best practice and ownership of standards
- Supporting internal audits, site inspections, and compliance reviews
- Contributing to a strong food safety and quality culture across the site
This is an improvement-focused role rather than day-to-day quality assurance.
