We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site QMS / Technical Manager to take ownership of quality and technical operations at a busy food manufacturing site. This site-based role offers the opportunity to lead and develop the Quality function, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards while driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring all processes meet both regulatory and customer requirements.
- Manage and develop the Quality Control (QC) team, ensuring high performance and technical competence.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, implementing corrective and preventative actions as required.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and BRC / industry standards, maintaining high levels of compliance and product quality.
- Collaborate closely with Hygiene and Operations teams to embed quality throughout all production processes.
- Oversee investigations into customer complaints, ensuring robust root cause analysis and effective resolution.
- Maintain and improve technical documentation, procedures, and metrics to support operational excellence.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in a quality/technical management role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of QMS, GMP, BRC, and other relevant standards.
- Proven experience in leading audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Team management and leadership experience, ideally with a QC team.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple site functions, including operations and hygiene.
