This business is a real British success story, and acts as one of the backbones of wider British food manufacturing. As Facilities Manager, you will keep the site’s most precious and important equipment up-and-running. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the maintenance and improvement of the site’s kit.
The successful Facilities Manager will:
- Be accountable for Steam boilers and factory steam distribution system, Compressed air equipment and distribution system, Chilling and HVAC equipment, Building and external area maintenance, Site water systems, Fixed electrical wiring infrastructure, etc.
- Support for reducing the site’s carbon footprint, working with SHE and Technical managers on energy/emissions initiatives and championing engineering-led carbon reduction projects.
- Manage reactive and planned maintenance with the site Engineering team, managing facilities equipment contractors and control facilities maintenance spend.
- Deputise for the Engineering Manager, complying with and enforcing food safety/quality, health & safety and environmental policies.
The successful Facilities Manager will have:
- Qualified in an engineering discipline, with maintenance experience in an FMCG facility.
- Previous experience maintaining facilities equipment and managing contractors.
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Food manufacturing experience desirable.
