Would you like to work with one of the most successful Food and Drink manufacturers in the UK? We are seeking an experienced and driven Material Planner to manage the materials flows into the site for core business and product pipeline. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team, who have a desire to produce better food naturally.
The successful Material Planner will:
- Run and maintain Material Requirement Planning (MRP) cycles within site Enterprise Resourcing Planning (ERP) systems to schedule and purchase to production requirements
- Convert demand plan into material supply requirements across all live SKU's and Bill of Materials (BOM) levels
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials (Mainly additives/ingredients) to meet production schedules
- Identify material shortages, excess and obsoletion risks and propose and mitigate real solutions
- Collaborate closely with Procurement on supplier capacity, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ's) and lead time alignments
- Support Supply planner with production planning when required
- Maintain data accuracy within ERP systems down to BOM level
The successful Material Planner will have:
- Experience within a planning role (MRP Planning, Production Planning, Supply Planning or Materials) within the food industry.
- Strong ERP experience and proficient user of Excel
- Experience in BOM level details, structures, lead times, MOQ logic and safety stock calculations
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
