A well-established, growing food manufacturer based in Park Royal is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to take ownership of a small team, all site food safety and technical systems. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys building structure, processes, and standards from the ground up. You will be joining a business that is expanding quickly and looking for a confident, proactive technical professional who can create robust systems and drive best practice across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the site's technical and quality function, ensuring all products meet customer and legal requirements.
- Design and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures to strengthen compliance and consistency.
- Maintain and develop HACCP, food safety, and BRCGS standards, preparing for and managing all internal and external audits.
- Partner closely with Production, NPD, and Supply Chain to ensure raw material, process, and finished product integrity.
- Manage customer relationships from a technical perspective - responding to queries, complaints, and audits.
- Deliver training and guidance to the wider team to embed a strong food safety and quality culture.
- Investigate non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and lead continuous improvement activity.
The Candidate
We are looking for a hands-on, confident Technical Manager (or a strong Senior QA ready for a step up) who enjoys creating structure and driving change. You will need:
- Experience managing a team in a food manufacturing company.
- Solid working knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and UK food legislation.
- Proven experience of building or improving QMS frameworks and implementing new systems from scratch.
- Strong communication and leadership skills - able to engage both senior management and shop-floor teams.
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine passion for food safety and quality.
