The Role
As Business Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Directors and recruitment team to manage the day-to-day running of the business.
You will be the person who keeps things organised, makes sure processes are followed and helps the team get things done.
This is a hands-on role. You will be based in our Holborn office for most of the week and will be expected to get stuck into the detail rather than just manage from a distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily operations
- Manage the shared inbox and deal with incoming requests.
- Format CVs and prepare documents for clients.
- Keep Bullhorn, Google Drive and other systems up to date.
- Log new leads and make sure information is recorded correctly.
- Support the recruitment team with day-to-day admin.
- Contractor and client management
- Set up new contractors and clients on our systems.
- Prepare contracts and supporting documents.
- Manage contractor onboarding and keep records up to date.
- Help resolve any issues with contractors, clients or payroll.
- Payroll and reporting
- Manage the weekly timesheet and payroll process.
- Chase approvals and make sure deadlines are met.
- Check payroll information and flag any discrepancies.
- Support margin reporting, invoicing and monthly financial administration.
- Marketing and team support
- Help manage Linked In posts and company marketing.
- Support the creation of job adverts and other content.
- Organise team events, bookings and general office requirements.
- Assist with monthly reporting and board meeting preparation.
- Process improvement
- Learn how the business works and identify ways to make things more efficient.
- Help improve systems, processes and internal organisation.
- Take ownership of tasks and make sure they are completed properly.
About You
We welcome candidates with little or no previous business operations experience.
You might have worked in recruitment, administration, customer service, hospitality or another busy environment.
What matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn.
You will be
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, systems and admin.
- Confident speaking to people and chasing things when needed.
- A good communicator with strong attention to detail.
- Happy working in a small business where everyone gets involved.
- Comfortable being hands-on and office-based for most of the week.
