Overview A leading food manufacturing company based in Chester is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Specifications Technologist to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for food quality and product specifications to contribute to the growth and success of a reputable organization in the food production industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety regulations, product labelling, and technical specifications. The Role As Specifications Technologist, you will: Creating and managing product specifications: Ensure all product specifications are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations and customer requirements. Customer and supplier interaction: Act as the main point of contact for specification queries, liaising with both customers and suppliers to ensure alignment on product requirements. Regulatory compliance: Stay updated with changing food legislation and industry standards, ensuring all products comply with food safety regulations, labelling requirements, and allergen declarations. Internal documentation management: Maintain and track all specifications in the companys system, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all departments. Support for product development: Work closely with the NPD (New Product Development) team to create specifications for new products, ensuring all technical aspects are covered. Quality assurance support: Collaborate with the QA team to resolve any issues relating to product specifications and ensure consistency in production.
