About the Role

Working in Assembly, this position works closely with the Production Engineering and Quality departments to assemble electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro/mechanical assemblies from drawings and/or procedures.

Skills/Experience required for role of Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Assembler:

  • Minimum 2 years assembling electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Trained to IPC 610 requirements and with minimum 2 years’ experience of soldering and crimping components and assemblies, including wiring cable assemblies and PCBs.
  • Minimum of 2 years assembling mechanical and/or electromechanical sub-assemblies and products.
  • Can work with minimal supervision but be team orientated.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings desirable but not essential.

The job role will include:

  • Assembly of electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies from drawings and/or procedures using equipment including hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and assembly fixtures safely and correctly.
  • Assembly work could include solder and crimping of assemblies or other components such as cable looms or PCBs.
  • Testing and inspection of assemblies via procedures, jigs and fixtures.
  • General assembly work to meet monthly targets.
  • Could involve working within a dust free, clean room environment.
  • Support training of new team members when required.
  • Supports wider operational activities when required.
  • Follow company quality standards, ISO procedures, and ESD control.
  • Ensure all work meets engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in line with 5S principles.
  • Adhere to health & safety requirements, including safe handling of electrical components and tools.
