Systems Engineer Consultant / Systems Architect – ISTAR, SPACE, Satellite Communications, Defence, NATO
Salary: £40,000 to £70,000 plus pension, life assurance

Our client is looking for Systems Engineers, Systems Architects, Enterprise Systems Engineers; candidates with ISTAR, SPACE, SATELLITE SYSTEMS experience are highly desirable.
Our client is a successful technical consultancy delivering Systems Engineering Services to government and industry, using its core skills in Systems Engineering, Operational Research (OR), and Cost and Risk analysis. By drawing on best practice methods and techniques in each of these domains the individuals are able to develop innovative methodologies with the necessary quality and rigour to support the early analysis and definition of Systems Engineering tasks, projects and programmes.
Our client’s experience in the nuclear, defence, space, security and transport sectors of the UK and NATO enables their team to provide a tailorable and scalable solutions to support a diverse stakeholder group and community of varying sizes and complexity. They can provide systems engineering support for products, service or enterprise level systems, they can also provide a tailored solution for systems engineering within a managed life cycle and offer a collaborative approach, working with other engineering, analysis and management disciplines and specialisms.
Their capabilities cover the full lifecycle from Requirements Engineering; Architecture Development; Systems Analysis, Analysis of Alternatives; Integration Verification Validation and Testing; through to Sustainment; Disposal and Replacement.
Our client’s staff are active members of INCOSE, they provide technical leaders and a trusted service that is based on best practice and places systems thinking and systems approaches at the heart of any project.
Candidates will require expertise in some, or all of the following:
- Systems Engineering Lifecycle
- Sound understanding of scientific and mathematical techniques
- Proven ability to develop technical solutions to business problems
- Defining, analysing and documenting requirements (incl. use of DOORS)
- Tools and techniques to develop concepts and architectural solutions including MODAF
- Space Systems development or Space systems Operation
- ITiL or eTOM
- C4ISTAR engineering
- Satellite Systems Toolkit (STK)
- Technology and capability road mapping
- Stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation
Qualifications – Systems Engineers, Systems Architects:
Degree, MSc, PhD or equivalent relevant experience
Successful candidates will have relevant expertise and able to support its growing operations in the South/South West, with successful candidates able to work from home and on clients sites as required
Candidates need to hold current SC or DVSecurity Clearance
