Our client is a well-established successful precision engineering company located near Camberley in Surrey. Due to growth, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector.
Essential Previous Experience Required for the role:- 3 yearsβ experience in a similar role
- Educated to HNC or experience in lieu
- Extensive knowledge of CMM programming/operating (PC-DMIS Software)
- Extensive knowledge of conventional metrology equipment (Micrometers, Verniers, Height Gauges, Plug Gauges, etc.) and methods
- Extensive knowledge of machining, quality standards, and treatment processes (preferably within the aerospace industry)
- Working knowledge of First Article Inspection process (FAI)
- Able to train/educate/share knowledge with the team
- Able to work to a high degree of complexity and accuracy
- Able to work under pressure and prioritise
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Knowledge of ERP or MRP production control systems
- CMM programming/operating (PC-DMIS)
- Good attention to detail
- Good time management
- Strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office tools)
