Our client is a well-established successful precision engineering company located near Camberley in Surrey. Due to growth, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector.
Essential Previous Experience Required for the role of Mechanical Inspection Team Lead / Senior Inspector:
- 3 years’ experience in similar role
- Educated to HNC or experience in lieu.
- Extensive knowledge of CMM programming / operating (PC-DMIS Software)
- Extensive knowledge of conventional metrology equipment (Micrometers, Verniers, Height Gauges, Plug Gauges etc.) and methods
- Extensive knowledge of machining, quality standards and treatment processes (preferably within the aerospace industry)
- Working knowledge of First Article Inspection process (FAI)
- Able to train/educate/share knowledge with the team
- Able to work to a high degree of complexity and accuracy
- Able to work under pressure and prioritise
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Knowledge of ERP or MRP production control systems
