As Trainee Sheet Metal Fabricator Mechanical Fitter you would develop competency in sheet metal fabrication and mechanical fitting techniques while supporting the manufacture and assembly of aerospace components to ensure the resulting product meets quality requirements within established production deadlines. Learn and perform sheet metal fabrication activities under supervision. Assist with forming, bending, drilling, trimming and finishing aerospace components. Learn to assemble and fit mechanical and sheet metal assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Deliver output targets in line with work-to-lists and training objectives. Interpret engineering planning documents, technical drawings and specification sheets, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where provided. Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
