At Gregory Distribution, we have a vacancy for a Parts Advisor based at our Cullompton Depot. This position will involve working with 5 Gregory workshops across England and Wales.

The position of Parts Advisor involves:

  • Liaising with the Workshop team on ordering of parts required, checking any orders from the night shift technicians.
  • Managing the smooth delivery of parts and promptly notifying the workshop team upon their arrival.
  • Receipting the stock on Freeway.
  • Maintaining stock levels within the stock room and undertaking weekly stocktakes.
  • Conducting daily checks to ensure timely part arrivals and proactively liaising with suppliers for any delays.
  • Analysis of fast and slow moving stock, to discuss with Head of Fleet Maintenance.
  • On occasion, you may be required to collect emergency parts. This will involve using the workshop van.
  • Ensure the parts department is compliant with Health and Safety requirements.

Essential skills required for Parts Advisor:

  • Experience of dealing with suppliers and customers.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical components, either car or HGV.
  • Knowledge of Freeway system would be desirable.
  • Previous experience of database management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
