About The Role: As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding service to our customers across the UK. In this position, you will:
- Take responsibility for nationwide collections and deliveries, operating a curtain‑sided trailer with professionalism and care.
- Operate predominantly with refrigerated box trailers to ensure safe and efficient transport of temperature‑controlled goods.
- Ensure every load is safely secured, using ratchet straps and carrying out some manual handling to maintain the highest safety standards.
- Use a handheld PDA to complete all delivery documentation accurately and efficiently, keeping the process smooth and streamlined.
- Maintain regular communication with our transport team, providing updates on progress to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
- Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up to date with industry best practices and continuously enhancing your skills.
Essential Skills And Qualifications:
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self‑motivated.
