The position of Class 1 Driver involves:
- Delivering to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers. This will include cage tail lift deliveries.
- Collecting multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centre.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Driver:
- Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
