About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will
- Use curtain side, box trailers, refrigerated trailers, and single and double deck trailers to transport goods to various retail locations.
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage, using straps, nets and other securing devices as needed.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top‑notch vehicle safety and reliability.
- Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers’ expectations are met.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead of the latest industry standards and best practices.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking and self‑motivated.
Benefits
- Competitive salary: £40,380 pa plus an additional £2.75 ph for all hours worked between 21:00 and 04:00.
- Shift hours: Sunday to Thursday, 5 out of 7. Start times between 16:00 and 19:00.
