About the Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will

  • Use curtain side, box trailers, refrigerated trailers, and single and double deck trailers to transport goods to various retail locations.
  • Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage, using straps, nets and other securing devices as needed.
  • Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top‑notch vehicle safety and reliability.
  • Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers’ expectations are met.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead of the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Fit, flexible, hardworking and self‑motivated.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary: £40,380 pa plus an additional £2.75 ph for all hours worked between 21:00 and 04:00.
  • Shift hours: Sunday to Thursday, 5 out of 7. Start times between 16:00 and 19:00.
