About The Role
As a Casual Driver, you will:
- Operate curtain-side or flatbed trailers to safely collect and deliver customer products, ensuring all journeys are completed to a high standard.
- Ensure all goods are loaded, secured and protected using appropriate equipment such as straps, nets and other load-securing devices.
- Operate palletised handling equipment as and when required.
- Flexibility to cover other areas of the business. This includes work on tankers where you need to safely collect and deliver bulk liquid products to customers.
- Provide outstanding customer service, engaging professionally with clients both in person and over the phone to represent the company positively.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the transport team, offering real-time updates to support smooth operations and manage customer expectations.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current with operational procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 1 (CE) Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
