Job Description: We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. Key Responsibilities:
- Directing a team of operatives daily, dealing with problems as they arise and escalating when required.
- Operate a Counterbalance and Pivot Steer to load and unload palletised goods from lorries, including placing pallets into racking systems.
- Completing various checks in the warehouse, on individuals, on MHE and equipment.
- Monitor picking operations within designated area to ensure safety and performance are maintained in-line with company expectations and targets
- Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects. To liaise with the distribution office to ensure a smooth operation between the transport and warehouse departments.
- Engage with warehouse operatives to encourage best practice and understand any issues which are preventing them from achieving optimal pick rate in-line with company targets.
- Use warehouse systems and scanners to accurately receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods whilst handling all goods with care and attention.
- Replenish stock and consolidate inventory as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse and ensure the equipment is kept in good condition.
- Daily handover at the end of each shift.
Requirements:
- Hold either a current Counterbalance license or a Pivot Steer licence.
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
