Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse in North Tawton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and supervision, including conducting debriefs with the shift team and ensuring all vehicles are loaded accurately and on time. Collaborate closely with transport teams to maintain efficient and seamless operations. Manage staff scheduling, including planning for holiday and sickness coverage. Oversee operational communications, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and monitor equipment maintenance. Assist with internal team meetings and support the preparation of documentation. Coordinate the maintenance and servicing schedules for warehouse equipment. Liaise with both internal departments and external partners to manage queries and maintain service levels. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce daily operational statistics. Required Experience: Valid certification to operate Reach and Counterbalance Forklifts. Experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment is preferred. Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
