Key Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in supporting the Transport Manager, motivating and guiding the team to deliver outstanding results in efficiency, profitability, and service excellence.
- Own the day-to-day transport operations, dispatch, debriefs, and workflow management, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
- Be the trusted link with our key customer, driving smooth operations and building strong, professional partnerships.
- Lead driver debriefs with clarity and confidence, fostering open communication and team alignment.
- Maximise fleet and staff performance through smart planning and strategic decision-making.
- Keep the Transport Manager informed with regular updates, sharing insights and ideas to boost service and efficiency.
- Champion safety by monitoring and auditing standards, creating a secure environment for everyone.
- Act as a go-to contact for queries, whether by email, phone, or face-to-face delivering solutions with confidence.
- Support KPI reporting and daily operational stats to track progress and highlight opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance is always on point by helping plan and maintain adherence to company and industry standards.
- Step in during vehicle breakdowns to minimise disruption and keep operations moving.
- Promote a positive, collaborative culture where teamwork thrives and colleagues feel supported.
Requirements:
- Bring your transport expertise to the table, including solid knowledge of the Working Time Directive and EU driver hours regulations.
- Communicate with confidence and clarity at every level, building strong relationships across the business.
- Leverage your strong UK geographical knowledge to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
