About the Role:

  • Operate a Class 1 vehicle safely and professionally, complying with all local and national transport regulations.
  • Complete scheduled UK wide collection and delivery routes, ensuring punctual, efficient, and reliable service.
  • Carry out thorough pre trip, enroute, and post trip vehicle checks, reporting any defects in line with company and legal requirements.
  • Secure loads correctly using ratchet straps and safe manual handling techniques to protect goods and ensure safe transit.
  • Use a handheld PDA to complete all delivery and collection documentation quickly and accurately.
  • Communicate regularly with the transport team, providing progress updates and supporting smooth operational flow.
  • Liaise professionally with customers both in person and over the phone to maintain excellent service standards.
  • Take part in regular training sessions to stay current with industry standards and continuously develop your skills.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
