About the Role
- Operate refrigerated vehicles ranging from 3.5T to 18T with use of a tail lift to make multi drop milk cage deliveries to retail stores throughout West Wales, from Swansea to
- Safely unload cages from the vehicle and move them to the store entrance at each delivery point, ensuring efficiency and proper handling.
- Complete up to 12 drops per day, maintaining accuracy and timeliness across all deliveries.
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
- Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Valid UK Class 2 (C) Licence, and be comfortable operating refrigerated vehicles ranging from 3.5 to 18 tonnes.
- Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Previous experience in multi-drop delivery is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and represent our brand professionally.
- Comfort working to tight schedules, managing time effectively.
- Confident and polite communicator, working closely with colleagues across transport and logistics.
- Good understanding of UK road networks, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions.
