HGV Technician Whitland WE ARE LOOKING FOR EITHER A FULLY OR PART QUALIFIED HGV TECHNICIAN TO ADD SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE TO OUR WORKSHOP DIVISION. The position of HGV Technician involves: Diagnosing and fault finding on vehicles and trailers using latest diagnostic equipment. Ensure all vehicles & trailers are maintained in accordance with DVSA and manufacturer’s specifications. Ensure all legal documents are filled out accurately and on time so are readily available for processing. Ensure that best practice is always employed in relation to component replacement; repair duration; document completion. Work as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operations achieves its objectives and targets. Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment. To ensure that all relevant legislation and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to. Essential skills required for HGV Technician: Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair) or part-qualified HGV Technician up to Level 2 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair). HGV Class 1 CE licence beneficial. 3 years previous experience required. Intuitive diagnostic skills. Ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative. Why Gregory Distribution? Basic salary for HGV Technician is £43,028pa, based on 42.5hrs per week. Overtime paid at £29.21ph. For any call out hours, you will be paid £29.21ph. Shift time 8:00hrs to 17:00hrs. Overtime is available and paid hourly.
