Class 1 Shunter Location : Estover Shift : Monday - Friday, Days Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence?

About the Role As a Class 1 Shunter, you will: Perform vehicle shunting operations between Estover and Heathfield, completing up to four vehicle shunts per day to meet operational requirements.

Shunt, load, and unload trailers within the depot, ensuring all units are safely and correctly positioned in designated delivery bays and yard areas.

Support general yard operations to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organised working environment.

Conduct comprehensive daily vehicle safety inspections using company-issued mobile technology, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimal vehicle reliability.

Liaise effectively with the transport office and wider transport team, providing timely updates on trailer status, safety checks, load conditions, and operational progress.

Ensure all vehicle movements and yard activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Participate in regular training and development activities to maintain compliance with industry standards, best practices, and company procedures.

Complete shunter training in line with company requirements, ensuring ongoing competence, compliance, and safe working practices at all times.

Essential Skills and Qualifications Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence, ready to take on the open road with confidence.

Possess a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card, ensuring you're always compliant and prepared.
