Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence?
As a Class 1 Shunter, you will:
- Shunt, load, and unload trailers within the depot, ensuring all units are safely and correctly positioned in designated delivery bays and yard areas.
- Conduct comprehensive daily vehicle safety inspections using company-issued mobile technology, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimal vehicle reliability.
- Liaise effectively with the transport office and wider transport team, providing timely updates on trailer status, safety checks, load conditions, and operational progress.
- Ensure all vehicle movements and yard activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular training and development activities to maintain compliance with industry standards, best practices, and company procedures.
- Complete shunter training in line with company requirements, ensuring ongoing competence, compliance, and safe working practices at all times.
Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence, ready to take on the open road with confidence. Possess a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card, ensuring you're always compliant and prepared.
