As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a key role in the safe, professional, and efficient movement of palletised freight across our network.
- Trunking palletised freight between depots and pallet-network hubs on planned day routes.
- Ensuring all freight is correctly loaded, secured, and restrained, using straps, nets, and other appropriate securing equipment in line with network standards.
- Completing thorough daily vehicle safety checks - both pre-departure and end-of-shift - using your company device to maintain full compliance.
- Accurately handling all paperwork, scanning, and freight verification, ensuring smooth hub and depot operations.
- Maintaining regular, clear communication with the Transport Team, providing updates, reporting issues, and helping manage customer expectations.
- Representing the business professionally at all customer sites, depots, and network hubs.
- Participating in ongoing training and development, staying up to date with industry standards and best practice.
Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence, current DCPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Tanker experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
