Overview
Gregory Distribution, a leader in logistics, is looking for an enthusiastic Communications Manager to strengthen our internal and external communications, enhance our digital presence, and support our ambitious growth and sustainability agenda. In this pivotal role, you\\\’ll work closely with senior leaders including our Senior Bid Manager, Managing Director, and Management Board partnering across all levels of the business to boost employee engagement, manage reputation risk, and support organisational change. You\\\’ll lead the development and delivery of innovative communication strategies, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences from operational teams to customers and the wider public. By shaping our brand voice and optimising communication channels, you\\\’ll play a key role in customer engagement and advancing our net zero sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Create and deliver integrated communication and engagement strategies aligned with company objectives and vision.
- Content Creation: Write and edit engaging content for press releases, website, blog posts, newsletters, case studies, business briefs, and more across written, graphic, and video formats.
- Internal Communications: Develop campaigns and materials for staff newsletters, intranet, manager digests, and employee events, ensuring messaging is relevant, engaging, and well-timed.
- External Communications: Manage media relations, respond to enquiries, and secure positive coverage. Identify and pursue partnership opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Social Media & Digital Presence: Oversee and optimise our social media channels and website, creating impactful campaigns and content to maximise reach and engagement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and support change management.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness, adjusting strategies to improve outcomes.
- Brand Management: Maintain brand consistency through guidelines, templates, and creative oversight.
- Event & Campaign Management: Plan and execute communication campaigns for product launches, events, and key initiatives. Support internal events such as awards, surveys, and competitions.
- Agency & Vendor Management: Oversee internal and external agencies and vendors involved in communication efforts.
Qualifications
- Are you a skilled communications professional passionate about driving engagement and shaping brand reputation? Degree-level education in communications, public relations, marketing, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in content creation and communications, ideally in a fast-paced or evolving business environment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats.
- Strong understanding of brand tone and voice, with an eye for detail.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop long-term plans supporting organisational goals.
- Comfortable collaborating and influencing at all levels, with strong relationship-building skills.
- Digital proficiency in social media management, CMS, SharePoint, and online content.
- Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Desirable: Design experience (Canva, Adobe InDesign).
- Experience in logistics or transport sectors.
- Familiarity with SEO principles.
Benefits
- Competitive Salary: £45,000 per annum – £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
