About the Role:
- As a Class 1 Driver, you will use curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers to deliver goods to retail stores across the UK.
- Complete an average of 1 to 3 delivery drops per shift in line with schedule and route planning.
- Ensure all loads are safely and securely fastened using straps, nets, and other securing equipment to prevent movement or damage during transit.
- Manage tail lift deliveries, ensuring safe and efficient unloading at client sites.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
- Maintain regular communication with the transport office to provide updates on delivery progress and respond to any changes or issues in real time.
- Represent the company professionally at every delivery point, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with store teams.
- Participate in ongoing training and development, including refresher courses and updates on industry regulations, to keep your skills sharp and compliant.
