Class 1 Driver Location : The Range, Mitcheldean Shift : Monday – Friday, Nights Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence? If \’YES,\’ we want to hear from you! About the Role As a Class 1 Driver, you will: Operate curtain side and box trailers (including single and double deck configurations) to deliver goods to retail stores across the UK. Ensure all loads are safely and securely fastened using straps, nets, and other securing equipment to prevent movement or damage during transit. Manage tail lift deliveries, ensuring safe and efficient unloading at client sites. Conduct thorough daily vehicle checks using a company-issued mobile device to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy, compliant, and safe. Maintain regular communication with the transport office to provide updates on delivery progress and respond to any changes or issues in real time. Represent the company professionally at every delivery point, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with store teams. Participate in ongoing training and development, including refresher courses and updates on industry regulations, to keep your skills sharp and compliant. Essential Skills and Qualifications Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence. Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous. Passionate about providing excellent customer service. Ability to work to deadlines. Confident, polite, and a team player. Good geographical knowledge. Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
