Class 1 Driver Location : Whitland, West Wales Shift : 4on 4off, Nights Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence? If \’YES,\’ we want to hear from you! About the Role As a Class 1 Driver, you will: Operate a refrigerated vehicle to safely deliver, load and unload palletised and caged products to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs), retail stores and wholesale locations. Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed. Perform manual handling tasks, including handballing and self-tipping. Use your company-issued phone to carry out thorough daily vehicle safety inspections, helping us maintain the highest standards of road safety and reliability. Stay in regular contact with our transport team, providing updates on your progress to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Take part in regular training sessions to keep your skills sharp and stay up to date with the latest industry standards and best practices. Essential Skills and Qualifications You must hold a valid UK Class 1 CE licence, enabling you to operate articulated vehicles with confidence and professionalism. A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards. Previous experience working with refrigerated trailers is advantageous, but not essential, as full training will be provided to get you up to speed. We\’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, representing our brand with professionalism and care at every stop. You\’ll need to be comfortable working to tight schedules, managing your time effectively to ensure deliveries are made promptly and safely. A confident and polite communicator, you\’ll work closely with colleagues across transport and logistics, contributing to a supportive and efficient team environment. A good understanding of UK road networks, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions, will help you navigate routes efficiently and avoid delays. Why Join Gregory Distribution Ltd? Shift Hours : Start between 18:00hrs – 22:00hrs, based on 4on 4off rota, working 12 hour shifts. Overtime : Paid at an hourly rate of £15.21 per hour.
