Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with management teams across multiple sites to identify training needs and develop annual training plans.
  • Lead and promote safety initiatives to help create and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Deliver comprehensive driver training, including mandatory Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training.
  • Design and deliver Task‑Specific Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) training and other specialist training programmes.
  • Lead Group Inductions for all new starters, ensuring a thorough introduction to company standards, processes, and expectations.
  • Deliver BRC Quality Standards training to support and maintain high‑quality operational standards.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, carrying out root cause analysis to implement effective preventative measures.
  • Train and develop 'Authorised Site Specialists', including LST and Assessor training.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure training aligns with client expectations and addresses specific operational requirements.
  • This role will require regular travel to other sites across the London and Leicester areas.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid UK Class 1 CE Licence, with a minimum of 3 years' driving experience and a clean driving record (no more than 3 penalty points).
  • Proven experience in a training, coaching, or assessing role.
  • Strong knowledge of LGV regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
  • Highly organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage workload independently across multiple locations.
  • Competent in using IT systems for training records, reporting, and compliance tracking.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and travel as required to support multiple sites.
