Job Description: Are you passionate about warehousing and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic logistics company? We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team at the North Tawton site. In this role, you will be using Counterbalance and Reach trucks to pick and dispatch goods.
Responsibilities:
- Use of Counterbalance and Reach trucks to support warehouse operations (training will be provided).
- Operate warehouse systems and handheld scanners to accurately receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods.
- Handle all goods with care and precision, maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the process.
- Replenish stock and consolidate inventory to keep our warehouse organised and ready for demand.
- Support general warehouse tasks, including pallet wrapping, labelling, and preparing goods for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is used responsibly and kept in good working order.
- Complete essential paperwork and follow warehouse procedures, reporting any issues or defects promptly to help us continuously improve.
Qualifications:
- Holding a current Counterbalance forklift licence is desirable but not essential (training will be provided).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills - You will be working closely with others, so being able to share information clearly and collaborate effectively is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail - Accuracy matters in every part of the process, from picking and packing to paperwork.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment - You will be on your feet and busy, so energy and adaptability are key.
