Location: North Tawton - EX20 2EB

Competitive Salary: £15.87 per hour, based on working 10 hours per shift. PLUS for all hours worked between 22:00hrs & 05:59hrs, you will receive an additional £2.25 per hour.

Shift Hours: 06:00hrs – 16:00hrs, on a 5on 3off shift basis.

About the Role:

  • Take on the essential role of collecting fresh milk from local farms and delivering it to the dairy, ensuring every delivery is made with care and precision.
  • Collect milk samples during farm collections and ensure all samples are correctly labelled before being dropped off for laboratory testing, in line with quality and food safety requirements.
  • Embrace a variety of tasks, including farm collections and occasional transhipment work.
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time, meeting client requirements and maintaining consistently high standards.
  • Enjoy rural driving while navigating beautiful landscapes and countryside routes.
  • Carry out comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using the company phone.
  • Maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing updates on progress and any issues encountered.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to remain up to date with industry standards, procedures, and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience with milk tankers would be an advantage, though full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Thrive under deadlines, showcasing your ability to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Be a confident, polite, and collaborative team player.
  • Have excellent geographical knowledge, navigating routes with ease and precision.
