Class 1 Driver
Location: The Range, Doncaster

About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will:
- Use curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers, to deliver goods to retail stores across the UK.
- Ensure all loads are safely and securely fastened using straps, nets, and other securing equipment to prevent movement or damage during transit.
- Manage tail lift deliveries, ensuring safe and efficient unloading at client sites.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top‑notch vehicle safety and reliability.
- Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers\’ expectations are met.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Previous experience delivering to retail or commercial sites (preferred but not essential).
- A strong focus on customer service, with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously.
- The ability to work to tight schedules while maintaining high safety standards.
- A positive, team‑oriented attitude and the ability to work independently when required.
- Good geographical knowledge and route planning awareness.

- Competitive Salary: ÂŁ17.13 per hour, based on an average of 42.77 hours per week. PLUS for all shifts starting between 12:00hrs & 02:00hrs, you will receive an additional ÂŁ17.50 per shift.
- Shift Hours: Start between 14:00hrs – 16:00hrs, finish between 22:00hrs – 02:00hrs, on a 5on 3off rota.
- Overtime: Paid at hourly rate of ÂŁ17.13.
