This is a full-time role. The base location for this role is Balliol Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne with regular travel to multiple locations. A company car will be provided to support this travel.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Safety Health and Environment (SHE) team at Greggs as a Regional SHE Manager. We can offer you:

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the SHE Management team to continuously improve our SHE Management System, bringing your expertise to the table
  • Use your hands‑on experience to develop processes that prioritise safety and efficiency
  • Ensure thorough investigations of incidents and accidents, implementing effective remedial actions promptly
  • Set and support objectives aimed at enhancing SHE standards across all sites
  • Develop and execute site‑specific implementation plans, working hand‑in‑hand with site management teams
  • Track and analyse performance against targets, driving continuous improvement
  • Lead the charge in fostering a positive SHE culture, encouraging individual responsibility at all levels
  • Utilise management information and data to drive site‑level improvements
  • Represent the SHE team in senior site management meetings, advocating for SHE priorities

About you:

  • You will fit right into this role if you hold Chartered Membership of IOSH
  • Demonstrate strong numerical capability with confidence using the MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas, insights and opportunities effectively using established presentation tools
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills, bringing innovation and practicality to overcoming challenges
  • Are organised and detail focused, with proven ability to manage priorities effectively
  • Are flexible and adaptable, willing to travel across multiple sites and work flexibly where required
  • Are supportive of an inclusive culture - recognising and valuing that difference is good
