We have a great opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Business Change team here at Greggs. We’re seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic Business Change Team and play a key role in delivering impactful solutions that support the growing demand for high-quality systems across the business. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment where innovation and growth are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you’ll not only lead project delivery within your area but also actively contribute to the team’s internal continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
- Reporting to the Business Change Manager, the primary responsibility of this role will be planning and delivering agreed changes to the business safely and within agreed guidelines.
- Develop and manage the execution of project and delivery plans to achieve defined objectives
- Manage project and team resources (external and internal) and continually improving team dynamics and working practices to help ensure success
- Ensure all necessary controls (e.g. risks, issues, changes, dependencies and assumptions) are visible and effectively managed
- Ensure communication to key project stakeholders throughout the duration of the project or initiative ensuring a high level of confidence is earned and maintained
- Agree resource requirements and timescales with the business, manage the assignment and release of resources during the course of projects and deliveries and remove team obstacles
- Ensure that the delivery adheres to the established governance and quality standards (e.g. artefacts, team events and meetings, reporting, quality measures)
About you
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of successfully delivering business and technology change using practical examples to describe challenges and successes
- Experience of delivering IT projects using practical examples to describe challenges and successes
- Experience of working in agile, product backlog environments and traditional project delivery methodologies and ability to demonstrate an understanding of the differences and pros and cons of these approaches
- Experience of working in dynamic business environments, and managing delivery of multiple initiatives
- Excellent communication, presentational, written and organisational skills
- The ability to think logically, overcome problems and interpret and present key statistical data in a way that can be understood by different stakeholder groups
- The ability to be a self-starter with a proactive approach to daily tasks, overcoming problems and maintaining momentum
- Digital literacy, being proficient in standard office tools used in change management (e.g. Project, Excel, Word, Visio, PPT) and more creative use of other tools/technology to help communicate or facilitate
- Are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
- Can multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales
- Able to engage and work collaboratively with other teams to make improvements to processes and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Enjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results together
