The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered. We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role. The base location for this role is Gosforth Park, Longbenton NE12 8DW.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Gosforth Park Production team at Greggs as a Production Manager. We can offer you:

What you’ll do:

  • Support Supervisors and team leaders to lead and motivate a team of production operatives.
  • Develop Supervisors and Team Leaders to achieve Succession Planning.
  • Coach and inspire your department, including employee engagement and best practice in the manufacturing industry.
  • Work with the Site Manufacturing Manager to ensure we meet labour and ingredient targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement for your department and team.
  • Work to the values and be an effective team member who contributes cross-functionally to initiatives where appropriate.
  • Play your part in meeting the site objectives and ensure these objectives are translated into Supervisor, team leader and operative PDRs.
  • Work with your team to embed the new competencies and bring them alive in the day-to-day North Lakes operation.

About you:

  • You will fit right into this role if you are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels.
  • Can demonstrate a proven ability to provide excellence in customer service.
  • Have experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at pace.
  • Are results focused with strong planning, prioritising and organisation skills.
  • Have advanced IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of analysing information and issues to identify current and potential problems and develop and implement workable solutions.
  • Able to engage and work collaboratively with other teams to make improvements to processes and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A good communicator, able to operate at all levels clearly and concisely with the proven ability to communicate complex data terminology so it is understood by the data owner and the business.
