About the role:
This is a full-time role working Mon - Fri 2pm-10pm. Flexibility will be considered. The base location for this role is at our Manchester Supply Site (M11 2HW).
What you'll do as a Quality Assurance Technician:
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are maintained across the site
- Support managers and operators in their responsibility to Food Safety and Quality
- Evaluate process controls during production to ensure compliance with specifications
- Complete quality checks in line with product specifications
- Complete and update microbiological, chemical and allergen sampling schedules
- Manage non-conforming products, QA Holds and product releases
- Complete annual CCP validation checks of all Critical Control Points
- Carry out and update audits and inspections, issuing Non Conformities as required
- Monitor equipment performance and control through internal calibration
- Assist with customer complaint investigations
- Amend factory process control documentation
About you:
We are looking for individuals who have drive and can demonstrate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in high care manufacture
- Level 3 Food Hygiene Internal audit qualification
- Good understanding of BRCGS Global Standard Food Safety
- Strong skills in planning, prioritising, and organising
- The ability to communicate and influence at all levels
- The ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Initiative and the ability to see tasks through to completion
- Enjoy being part of a hard-working team
