What you'll do:

  • Carry out driving assessments as part of recruitment process
  • Plan and review new driver training covering site introduction, routes, safe systems of work, Tacho procedures, defect reporting and walk round checks
  • Perform annual in cab driver assessments
  • Retrain underperforming drivers such as those with poor anticipation and/or high levels of harsh braking
  • Retrain and assess drivers following RTIs
  • Deliver DVWC Training and Slow Manoeuvring Course as directed
  • Conduct Driver Assessments of Greggs Shop Maintenance Team as appropriate
  • Assist with the administration of RTI investigations and retraining
  • Carry out annual refresher training for Tachographs, Defect reporting and walk round checks
  • Train drivers in vehicle and equipment (eg taillift) specific use
  • Carry out specific Tacho training with drivers who have infringed as agreed with site
  • Carry out safe systems training with drivers and loaders to include loading, deliveries, refuelling, use of tail lifts etc
  • Assist the Department in carrying out new shop reviews and reports back on any issues
