We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Derby Production team at Greggs, playing a key part in setting up and developing our new manufacturing operation. This exciting opportunity will incorporate the commissioning of new state of the art equipment, along with the recruitment, training and development of a brand-new team.

About the role:
This is a full-time on site role. The base location for this role is Derby, DE21 7BS. Ideally, you’ll live within one hour travel of this area.
What you'll do:
- Coach and inspire your department, including employee engagement and best practice in the manufacturing industry.
- Support team leaders to lead and motivate a team of production operatives.
- Working with the Site Manufacturing Manager to ensure we meet labour and ingredient budgets.
- Drive continuous improvement for your department.
- Play your part in meeting the objectives on the site business plan and ensuring these objectives are translated into team leader and operative PDRs.
About you:

- Have a proven track record in leading 24/7 manufacturing teams, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.

- Have advanced IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

- Have advanced Excel skills to support with analysis and the ability to work with large data sets.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of analysing information and issues to identify current and potential problems and develop and implement workable solutions.
- Able to engage and work collaboratively with other teams to make improvements to processes and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A good communicator, able to operate at all levels clearly and concisely with the proven ability to communicate complex data terminology so it is understood by the data owner and the business.
