We have a fantastic opportunity for a Pricing & Promotions Analyst to join our growing Category & Grocery team at Greggs. Working closely with the Pricing & Promotions Manager, you'll play a key role in planning, analysing and evaluating promotional activity across our channels, helping to optimise performance, strengthen our value proposition and deliver key business objectives.
You'll work collaboratively with teams across Category Planning, Marketing, Procurement and Finance to support the development, delivery and tracking of promotional activity. This includes identifying opportunities to unlock promotional investment through suppliers and partners, monitoring promotional spend, and helping to drive profitable growth and trading margin.
As the lead for promotional reporting and insight, you'll transform complex commercial data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders. Whether your experience comes from Pricing & Promotions, Data Analytics, Procurement, Category Management, Commercial Finance or Trade Planning, if you're passionate about using data to influence decision-making and deliver commercial results, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role: This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered. We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role. The base location for this role is Greggs House.
What you'll do:
- Carry out analysis of promotional campaigns and always-on offers, evaluating performance across channels using business, customer and market data
- Manage and coordinate the promotional calendar, ensuring campaigns are effectively communicated, planned and delivered across the business
- Develop and maintain efficient promotional planning processes that align with wider business objectives and operational requirements
- Track and manage promotional spend through delivery partners, ensuring contractual commitments and business targets are achieved
- Support the development of business cases for promotional activity and provide insights to inform decision-making
- Produce regular performance reporting and actionable insights for stakeholders, including weekly updates for senior leadership
- Own analysis and reporting of pricing and promotional trials, measuring outcomes against agreed success criteria
- Act as the subject matter expert for BI platforms, Power BI and analytical tools, leveraging data to drive commercial decisions
- Use SQL and reporting tools to extract, analyse and visualise data, while supporting and training colleagues in best practice analytics
- Maintain promotional hierarchy and data accuracy, working closely with Power BI, Master Data and cross-functional teams to ensure robust reporting
- Monitor competitor promotional activity and pricing, providing market insights and maintaining a strong understanding of the UK food-to-go landscape
About you: You will fit right into this role if you:
- Are highly numerate graduate with a strong analytical background. An A-Level in Maths would be desirable, though not essential
- Are a confident individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to operate at all levels clearly and concisely with the proven ability to communicate complex data terminology so it is understood by the data owner and the business
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of analysing information and issues to identify current and potential problems and develop and implement workable solutions
- Can demonstrate a proven ability to provide excellence in customer service
- Have proven high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Have experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at pace
- Are results focused with strong planning, prioritising and organisation skills
