We have an exciting opportunity to join the Supply Chain Operational Efficiency team at Greggs, playing a key role in driving continuous improvement across our Manufacturing and Logistics operations. As an Operational Efficiency Manager, you will typically support two Supply Chain operating sites, working closely with site leadership teams to identify, prioritise and deliver measurable improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery. You'll also be a proactive member of the Group Operational Efficiency team, helping to build capability, embed Lean principles and shape best practice across the business. This is a highly visible role, ideal for someone passionate about improvement, data-led decision-making and engaging teams to deliver lasting change.

About the role:
This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered. Work life balance is important; flexibility as possible in line with needs of role. Base location is Derby NDC, DE21 7BS.
What you’ll do:
- Enable sites to apply the Operating System, Lean and Continuous Improvement principles
- Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities using performance data and shop floor observation
- Agree improvement plans and quantified benefits with site senior management teams
- Deliver measurable improvements in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Food Safety
- Build and maintain a clear pipeline of improvement opportunities
- Facilitate structured problem-solving using data-led, evidence-based decision making
- Develop and embed effective productivity measurement and performance tracking
- Support introduction of new products, processes, systems and equipment
- Coach, train and develop teams at all levels in Lean and CI tools and techniques
- Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement and constructive challenge
- Ensure all improvement activity meets Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
- Share best practice across sites and contribute to Group-wide improvement initiatives
- Develop a specialist area of improvement expertise and act as a subject matter expert
About you:
- Experience in Manufacturing and/or Logistics, ideally in a fast-paced environment
- Results-focused, motivated by delivering tangible business benefits
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills
- Confident influencing, engaging and motivating teams at all levels
- Can lead and facilitate multi-disciplinary teams
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Organised, able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Understand and champion Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
- Flexible and happy to travel regularly across UK sites
- Actively seek to develop own skills and share knowledge with others
- Inclusive, collaborative and aligned with Greggs values
