About the role
- This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

What you\’ll do
This friendly and supportive Site Engineering team is led by the Engineering Manager who will be on hand to guide and advise you through your Engineering career at Greggs.
Our food manufacturing/production sites use automated and semi-automated lines to produce great products as efficiently as possible.
As part of your Role you will be responsible for;
- Plan and schedule maintenance tasks, supporting smooth operations and learning effective workload management.
- Support the Maintenance Manager in organising daily engineering activities and team coordination.
- Maintain and audit the CMMS, building system knowledge and attention to detail.
- Manage ordering of parts and consumables, developing procurement and stock control skills.
- Coordinate downtime with other departments for planned maintenance and calibrations.
- Ensure timely completion of scheduled work, taking ownership and improving task management.
- Track and report KPIs, contributing to performance insights and continuous improvement.
- Oversee engineering stores, focusing on organisation, re-ordering and stock accuracy.
- Work with contractors and external support, handling permits and risk assessments.
- Provide flexible support to the wider engineering team, gaining exposure across all areas.
- You will help in delivering maintenance excellence in a planned preventive way, working collaboratively within and across the site teams, including with the Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Team Members and other departments.
About you
You\’ll fit right in at Greggs as a Maintenance Planner if you can demonstrate:
- You will ideally have worked within the food or FMCG sectors
- Engineering Background Preferred but not essential.
- You’re experienced with Microsoft 360 packages, SAP systems and are familiar with CMMS (or other), Agility experience would be advantageous
- You’re comfortable communicating with a wide variety of people, and you have the confidence to respond positively when under pressure
- You can show us that you’re able to comply with Health and Safety and Food Safety standards, which are very important us here at Greggs
