About the role
This is a full‑time role, although flexibility may be considered. We value work‑life balance and try to offer flexibility to meet role needs. The base location for this role is Grimsby.
What you'll do
As a Shop Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance work on shop equipment
- Ensuring all on‑site mechanical and electrical equipment is working as effectively and efficiently as possible
- Carrying out regular maintenance, day‑to‑day repair of shop equipment, electrical repairs and modifications
- Minimising machine downtime while repairs are carried out across a group of approximately 80 shops
About you
You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:
- 17th Edition Electrician Qualification (ideally)
- Significant experience in installations, electrical repair, fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvements
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi‑task and handle a varied workload in all trades, on equipment and property
- A full UK driving licence is essential
- Knowledge of food safety & SHE
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility in working hours (may be required to work different shifts each week or overtime)
- IT skills including Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
