About the role
Join us as an HGV Driver and you will be the face of Greggs on the road, making sure that our tasty products are delivered to our shops on time for our loyal customers. Greggs is industry leading when it comes to our fleet, technologies and training our Drivers. You’ll be driving one of our modern fleet of refrigerated HGVs – a mix of class1 (C+E) and class2 (C) vehicles. All vehicles are fitted with the latest technology and safety features, such as telematics and vehicle cameras.
Responsibilities
This is a physical role as you’ll carry out multi‑drop deliveries of chilled, frozen and ambient goods to our shops daily, making sure that all safety checks have been met. You’ll be trained in key control as some deliveries will be made when shops are closed. We place the highest of importance on ensuring our Drivers and fleet are safe and compliant.
Qualifications
- HGV Category C+E / Class 1 driving licence held for at least 1 year with a maximum of 6 penalty points
- Up‑to‑date Driver CPC card and training
- Excellent knowledge of Driver’s hours regulations
- Ability to meet shift availability requirements, including nights, weekends and bank holidays
- Supportive of an inclusive culture, recognising and valuing that difference is good
- Tail‑lift operation experience is beneficial but not essential
