Join us as a Transport Supervisor and you'll be a key part of the Greggs team ensuring that our tasty products are delivered to our shops on time for our loyal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the distribution of Greggs products.
  • Execute the transport plan, including scheduling routes and drivers, ensuring vehicle availability, and meeting cost and customer KPIs.
  • Lead a Transport team, ensuring driver training is up‑to‑date and health, safety and food hygiene standards are followed.
  • Support the Transport Manager in driving departmental improvements and developing proactive transport approaches.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing, developing and motivating teams.
  • HGV Category C+E / Class 1 or Category C / Class 2 driving licence held for at least 1 year with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
  • Understanding of vehicle legislation, driver hours and tachograph legislation.
  • Knowledge and experience of chill‑chain, temperature‑controlled delivery operations and daily fresh operations.
  • Prioritisation skills enabling effective management of a fast and evolving workload for yourself and your team.
  • Commitment to an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing difference.
  • Willingness to work shifts that could include nights, weekends and bank holidays.
