This is an excellent opportunity for a proven automotive sales professional to take the next step in their career within a busy, ambitious dealership representing leading brands including MG, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and KGM.

The successful candidate will already have a strong track record in new car sales and will be expected to lead by example, deliver consistently against targets, manage the full customer journey to a high standard, and contribute positively to the wider performance of the sales department. You will be joining a dealership with strong lead flow, modern systems, manufacturer-backed products, and a clear focus on customer experience, process discipline and sales performance.

The Role

This is a senior, results-driven sales position suited to someone who is confident managing a busy new car sales pipeline, converting enquiries efficiently, and delivering an outstanding customer experience from first contact through to handover and aftercare. As a Senior New Car Sales Executive, you will be expected not only to achieve your own sales targets, but also to set a strong example in customer handling, lead management, CRM discipline, product knowledge and overall professionalism.

You will work across multiple franchises, managing inbound enquiries, showroom traffic, digital leads, telephone enquiries and self-generated opportunities, while helping support a strong sales culture within the dealership. As a senior member of the sales team, you will also play an active role in wider commercial activity, including supporting used car manufacturer programmes, identifying stock opportunities, helping drive used car performance, and contributing to promotional activity across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing new car enquiries across all channels - digital, telephone, manufacturer leads, showroom and walk-in enquiries
  • Taking full ownership of the customer journey from initial enquiry through to test drive, proposal, order, delivery and aftercare
  • Consistently achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly new car sales targets
  • Maximising conversion rates across inbound leads, showroom enquiries and follow-up activity
  • Proactively managing your sales pipeline through accurate CRM updates, clear next actions and timely customer follow-up
  • Maintaining a high standard of customer communication across phone, email, video, digital channels and face-to-face appointments
  • Presenting vehicles professionally and conducting test drives in line with dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Advising customers on finance options including PCP, HP, part exchange, insurance and additional products in line with FCA requirements
  • Working closely with the Sales Management team to support departmental targets, campaigns and manufacturer objectives
  • Acting as a senior example within the sales team by demonstrating strong process discipline, product knowledge and customer care
  • Supporting newer or less experienced sales colleagues where appropriate through guidance, best-practice sharing and day-to-day example
  • Identifying opportunities to generate new business through previous customers, renewals, referrals, prospecting and outbound activity
  • Supporting used car manufacturer programmes and helping identify opportunities to improve used car stock performance
  • Assisting with stock sourcing opportunities and working with the wider team to help drive used car sales
  • Contributing to dealership marketing activity, including social media content, promotional videos, vehicle walkarounds and campaign support
  • Working with the Marketing team to help showcase new and used stock, manufacturer offers, customer handovers and dealership activity
  • Ensuring all orders, documentation, finance proposals and handover requirements are completed accurately and professionally
  • Working closely with Aftersales, Marketing and Administration teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Maintaining showroom, demonstrator and forecourt presentation standards
  • Keeping up to date with manufacturer offers, product updates, finance campaigns and competitor activity
